Why Subscribe?
When content creators and influencers started selling products, I decided I wouldn’t follow that kind of money and engagement because it didn’t feel authentic, true to myself. The mission of my work, in fact, both cooking and writing, has always been sharing my genuine culinary upbringing made of simple Italian food (I was born and raised in a small town at the foothills of the Italian Alps) and my human journey of growth and self-discovery, as a woman and as a mother.
What I offer here is real life guidance on how to cook healthy, simple food that follows the natural rhythm of the seasons, that is inexpensive, and really good.
In my writing, I share the journey so that you can see your current self in mine and feel less alone, or see your old self and notice how far you have come — ultimately feel part of a community.
I don’t use special effects in my videos and I never use affiliate links.
I don’t like where that world is going and I still believe in an old-fashioned way of earning money for your work based on real connection rather than purchases-per-click.
I am the author of the cookbook memoir Eating Again, The Recipes that Healed Me, published by Heliotrope Books, and also a long-time collaborator and supporter of the Hollywood Farmers Market and Food Access LA.
