My new cookbook with Heliotrope books comes out on February 8, 2022. It is a collection of vegetarian and plant-based Italian recipes served alongside chronicles the kind of love, hope, and community you can only find in a kitchen.

I began to write to feel less alone, and I kept at it because putting words on paper, just like food on a chopping board, set me free. Here you can read about healing, grief, recovery, marriage and parenthood, addiction and depression, and about dusting off after a storm.

From 2013 to 2016 I created and hosted the interview podcast Coffee with Alice. I had the honor of talking to some of the most inspiring contemporary artists: Jackson Browne, Moby, Jennifer Fitch, Bill Pullman, Jerry Stahl, Marc, Maron, Phil Hendrie, Kate Micucci, Susanna Hoffs, and Benmont Tench (who then became my husband).
